3 Ways to Transform Your Productivity
With the new year into full swing, chances are you’re considering ways to get more done and to be more productive. There are simple changes you can make to your daily routine to ensure that you’re feeling more productive and getting more done. One of the biggest skills you’ll need to learn in order to improve your productivity is to carve out sacred time that allows you to hone your focus. Learning how to really relax so that you come back to work recharged is an important skill to have to ensure you’re operating at your maximum capacity. Learning to hone your productivity will mean that you can get more done in less time, while still having time and space for the things you love.
Learn How to Relax
It’s impossible to be all work and no play, so an important part of becoming productive is finding ways to also decompress and enjoy your off time. One of my favorite ways to do this is to go on wine tasting trips, like at the Evoke Oregon wine tasting room. I enjoy trying the new wines and learning about how they’re made and what makes each wine different. While wine might not be your passion, it’s important that you find out what is and invest time in that. Whether you enjoy yoga, catching up with friends, surfing or sports, make sure that you have time each week to unwind so that when it’s your time to work you’re energized and ready to go.
Carve Out Sacred Time
One of the most challenging skills to learn in our distracted world, is to carve out sacred time that’s blocked off and only available to focus on the tasks that you need to get done. That means on social media, no emails popping up to distract you, and no chats getting in the way of what you need to get done. The better you get at clearing out the noise, the more productive you’ll become. Start with smaller chunks of time and work up to either more blocks, or longer blocks, in order to increase your productivity and have yourself thrown towards your goals. Outsource As Much As You Can
Learning to delegate is an important skill that can really improve how fast your business can grow and what you can achieve. When you’re a new business owner, it can be tempting to hold onto all tasks and try to do them yourself, whether you feel you’re the best at it or because you don’t know how to give up control. There are certain tasks, however, that you’ll find will be much better outsourced to others. You could, for example, move your office yourself, but hiring office movers will allow you to instead focus on running your business and taking it to the next level.
Becoming more productive will help propel you further in terms of your career and business success. Hopefully these tips ensure you achieve your goals faster than you expect.
