In their most recent Android beta model, aggressive communications technology company WhatsApp is offering their users complete security in hiding muted status updates. This technology has been around for a while, but has not been put to use to such depth as WhatsApp proposes doing with their newer beta models. Client testing is taking place throughout India for the rest of this month before the official rollout in October. Hide Muting is the ability to delete every trace of a muted updates from the phone’s status section. Right now such status updates are still showing at the end of each scroll — and the new feature will remove that once and for all.
The new update, which the company has mysteriously not publicized very much, was first spotted by users in the WhatsApp beta version 2.19.260 a few weeks ago. Smartphone trackers, who have several websites dedicated to finding, tracking, and reporting on new mobile communication apps, speculated that the muted status of updates going to be downplayed until the next major trade fair in November. Apparently not all beta users are able to take advantage of it yet. The tech trackers have posted advice that the latest muted version can be downloaded via APK Mirror.
